DE Unterwegs für den Underground
Letzten Freitag, den 20.03.2026, war ich in Den Haag unterwegs, um den Metal-Underground zu unterstützen und gute Musik zu hören.
Im Musicon standen drei Bands auf dem Plan: die deutschen Bands Stigmatized und Sabiendas sowie die aus Amsterdam stammende Band AnomiC.
Für Stigmatized war dies ihr erster Auftritt in Holland und ich habe mich sehr gefreut, die Band hier zu unterstützen. Ich finde alle drei Bands sehr gut, da ich einfach Death- und Thrash Metal liebe.
AnomiC sehe ich auch immer wieder live und ich gehöre hier zum Team. Wer meine Instagram-Accounts kennt, weiß, dass ich die Band regelmäßig supporte, weil ich ihre Musik einfach liebe.
Organisiert wurde das Konzert von Raaf Atasi (Gründer von AnomiC), der die beiden deutschen Bands an diesem Abend nach Holland geholt hat.
Die Reise – wie es (mal wieder) chaotisch wurde
Meine Reise begann in Bergheim bei Köln. Ich habe mir Tickets für den FlixBus besorgt und bin am Freitag losgefahren.
Das Konzert sollte um 20:00 Uhr beginnen, Einlass war um 19:30 Uhr. Und ob ich es rechtzeitig geschafft habe, möchte ich euch jetzt erzählen.
Am Freitagmorgen habe ich nach dem ersten Kaffee die Zugverbindungen geprüft und gesehen, dass es Probleme in Richtung Köln Bonn Flughafen gab. Also habe ich meine Planung angepasst und bin schon um 9:00 Uhr los.
Unterwegs habe ich dann erfahren, dass mein FlixBus Verspätung haben wird. Erst dachte ich, das ist kein Problem, aber im Laufe der Reise stellte sich heraus, dass es über zwei Stunden waren.
Also war ich erstmal am Flughafen und hatte genug Zeit zu warten. Ich habe Musik gehört und Kaffee getrunken und bin dann zur FlixBus-Haltestelle gegangen. Dort habe ich dann gemerkt, dass mein Bus noch mehr Verspätung haben würde.
Die Fahrt war gefühlt sehr lang. Ich war seit 9 Uhr unterwegs und wusste zwischendurch einfach nicht, ob ich es rechtzeitig zum Konzert schaffe.
Das ist typisch, wenn ich unterwegs bin – ich ziehe sowas irgendwie magisch an. Es ist manchmal wie in einem Cartoon.
Ankunft in Den Haag – auf den letzten Drücker
Ich habe es aber tatsächlich rechtzeitig geschafft.
In Den Haag angekommen war es bereits dunkel. Ich habe mir direkt ein Taxi zur Location genommen, weil ich nichts riskieren wollte. Ich bin schließlich wegen des Konzerts dort.
Um 19:48 Uhr war ich in der Location. Total gestresst, aber glücklich.
Vor Ort kannte ich erstmal niemanden, außer die Bands. Aber das hat sich schnell geändert, denn die Metal-Fans waren sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen.
Stigmatized – starker Auftakt
Den Anfang machten Stigmatized, und sie haben direkt gezeigt, was sie können.
Für die Band war es ihr erster Auftritt in Holland und sie haben von Anfang an abgeliefert. Es gab keine Unsicherheiten, sondern einen sehr souveränen und druckvollen Auftritt.
Die Songs kamen kraftvoll rüber und hatten richtig Energie. Es war ein sehr direkter und ehrlicher Auftritt.
Ich habe mit einigen Leuten im Publikum gesprochen und man hat gemerkt, dass die Band gut ankam. Für mich war das ein sehr starker Start in den Abend.
AnomiC – Energie und Zugehörigkeit
Danach kamen AnomiC, und hier hat sich die Energie im Raum nochmal verändert.
Ich habe AnomiC schon öfter live gesehen, aber dieser Auftritt war nochmal eine ganz andere Nummer. Von Anfang an war richtig Druck da und die Band hat das Publikum sofort abgeholt.
Die Songs kamen extrem kraftvoll rüber und haben live nochmal eine ganz andere Wirkung entfaltet. Genau diese Mischung aus Härte, Energie und Präsenz macht für mich den Reiz bei AnomiC aus.
Wer meine Instagram-Accounts( “Die wunderbare Welt der Jane” und “Desideria Nocte”) kennt, weiß, dass ich die Band regelmäßig supporte und auch zum Team gehöre, weil ich ihre Musik einfach liebe. Und genau das spürt man auch jedes Mal live.
Auch die Songs vom bald erscheinenden Album „The Spider’s Code“ haben richtig gut funktioniert und wurden super umgesetzt.
Ein besonderes Highlight war für mich wieder „Tombstone“ von Sodom – einfach ein Song, der für mich immer besonders bleibt.
Sabiendas – Old School Death Metal
Danach spielten die Headliner Sabiendas.
Die Band wurde 2006 von der Gitaristin Alexandra gegründet und hat den Abend perfekt abgeschlossen.
Es war Old School Death Metal, wie man ihn kennt: düster, hart und ohne Kompromisse. Kein Lächeln auf der Bühne, sondern einfach pure, kompromisslose Musik.
Der Sound war durchgehend intensiv und genau so, wie man sich diese Art von Metal vorstellt.
Kleiner Wermutstropfen
Sehr schade war, dass Sabiendas diesmal nicht mit Toni Merkel am Schlagzeug gespielt haben.
Ich bin mir aber sicher, dass Robin Boogard ihn mit seinem Spiel begeistert hätte – vor allem, weil er Teile sogar blind spielt. Das ist schon wirklich beeindruckend.
Fazit: Dafür lohnt sich alles!
Nach dem Konzert hatte ich noch die Möglichkeit, mit allen Bands zu sprechen. Auch ein Foto mit Alexandra von Sabiendas ist dabei entstanden.
Ich fand alle drei Bands großartig und mein kleines Metal-Herz hat an diesem Abend definitiv höher geschlagen.
Dafür habe ich die lange Reise sehr gerne auf mich genommen und würde es jederzeit wieder tun.
Ich liebe den Underground und schaue gerne über den Tellerrand. Warum also nicht auch mal in ein anderes Land fahren, um genau das zu unterstützen?
Es hat sich absolut gelohnt. 🤘
🇬🇧 Metal Underground in Den Haag – My Concert Report
On the road for the underground
Last Friday, March 20th, 2026, I was on my way to Den Haag to support the metal underground and listen to some great music.
At Musicon, three bands were on the lineup: the German bands Stigmatized and Sabiendas, as well as the Amsterdam-based band AnomiC.
For Stigmatized, this was their first show in the Netherlands, and I was really happy to be there to support them. I genuinely like all three bands because I simply love Death and Thrash Metal.
I also see AnomiC live regularly, and I’m part of the team. If you know my Instagram accounts, you know that I support the band regularly because I truly love their music.
The concert was organized by Raaf Atasi (Founder AnomiC), who brought the two German bands to the Netherlands for this show.
The Journey – As Chaotic as Always
My journey started in Bergheim near Cologne. I bought a FlixBus ticket and set off on Friday.
The concert was scheduled to start at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:30 PM. Whether I made it on time… I’m about to tell you.
On Friday morning, after my first coffee, I checked the train connections and noticed there were issues heading towards Cologne Bonn Airport. So I adjusted my plans and left at 9:00 AM.
On the way, I found out that my FlixBus would be delayed. At first, I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, but as the journey went on, it turned out to be more than two hours.
So I spent some time at the airport, listening to music and having a coffee before heading to the FlixBus stop. There, I realized that my bus would be delayed even more.
The journey felt extremely long. I had been on the road since 9 AM and at some point, I honestly didn’t know if I would make it to the concert in time.
This is typical for me when I travel – I somehow tend to attract situations like this. Sometimes it feels like being in a cartoon.
Arrival in Den Haag – Just in Time
But I actually made it.
Once I arrived in Den Haag, it was already dark. I immediately took a taxi to the venue because I didn’t want to take any risks. After all, I was there for the concert.
At 7:48 PM, I arrived at the venue. Completely stressed, but happy.
At first, I didn’t know anyone there except the bands. But that quickly changed, as the dutch metal fans were very friendly and open.
Stigmatized – A Strong Opening
Stigmatized opened the night, and they immediately showed what they are capable of.
It was their first show in the Netherlands, and they delivered from the very beginning. There was no hesitation, just a very confident and powerful performance.
Their songs came across strong and full of energy. It was a very direct and honest performance.
I spoke with some people in the crowd, and it was clear that the band was very well received. For me, this was a very strong start to the evening.
AnomiC – Energy and Connection
Then came AnomiC, and the energy in the room shifted once again.
I’ve seen AnomiC live several times, but this show was on a completely different level. From the very beginning, they brought a lot of intensity and immediately connected with the crowd.
Their songs came across extremely powerful and unfolded a whole different energy live. This combination of heaviness, energy, and presence is exactly what I love about AnomiC.
If you know my Instagram accounts (Die wunderbare Welt der Jane and Desideria Nocte), you know that I regularly support the band and am part of the team because I truly love their music. And that’s something you can feel every time they play live.
The songs from their upcoming album “The Spider’s Code” also worked really well and were delivered perfectly.
A personal highlight for me was once again “Tombstone” by Sodom – simply a song that always means something special to me.
Sabiendas – Old School Death Metal
After that, headliners Sabiendas took the stage.
The band was founded in 2006 by guitarist Alexandra and delivered a perfect closing set for the night.
It was old school death metal as you know it: dark, heavy, and uncompromising. No smiles on stage, just pure, raw metal.
The sound was consistently intense and exactly how you would expect this kind of metal to be.
A Small Downside
It was a pity that Sabiendas did not play with Toni Merkel on drums this time.
However, I’m sure that Robin Boogard (AnomiC)would have impressed him with his
drum-playing – especially since he even performs parts blind. That is truly impressive.
Conclusion: It Was Worth It!
After the concert, I also had the chance to talk to all the bands. I even took a photo with Alexandra from Sabiendas.
I thought all three bands were fantastic, and my little metal heart was definitely beating faster that night.
I was more than happy to take on the long journey, and I would do it again anytime.
I love the underground and enjoy looking beyond my usual surroundings. So why not travel to another country to support exactly that?
It was absolutely worth it. 🤘
